[This is an uncanon story. It have the Order members as adults in a "Sherlock"-quse manner. Basically: "Sherlock" meets "Carmen Sandiego" meets "My Little Pony"]

It was late at night at the home of Franz, Hilda, Orynko, and Wilhelm Johannes. While the two parents were sleeping soundly in their room, and Orynko was snoring as loud as a dragon, another pony was awake, reading a book.

Wilhelm, or Willy as his friends and family calls him, was reading another book of "Sherlock Hooves". As he was reading, his eyes were beginning to droop. Eventually, his eyes completely shut and he was asleep.

He was dreaming of a house, quite similar to the one he is living in now. Except, in this dreamworld, he was an adult, with a magnifying glass Mark. He was sitting in a cushy, crimson chair, in front of a fireplace, reading a newspaper and listening to classical music. The peaceful atomsphere was disrupted with a loud rapping of his front door.

He sighed, "It is unlocked!"

Then a lightish-blue mare with striking crimson eyes and a lightish-green mane came trotting in. Any-pony worth their grain of sugar can tell that the mare is an Alicorn.

"Is this the home of Mr. Wilhelm Holmes?"

"It is, Princess Marlene Juhasz." Wilhelm said, never looking up from his paper.

"How can you tell without looking up at me?"

"Your trot. You have quite a graceful trot, more graceful then most mares of high society. Then, there is your polite mannerism in how you stood and talked. Only those whom are quite well-tuned could tell." Wilhelm looked up and folded the paper, "If you came to me, then something must be important. Am I correct, Princess?"

"You are, Mr. Holmes." Marlene sighed, then looked at the couch, "May I?"

Wilhelm nodded, "You may."

She sat down, opposite of him, "Well, I was tasked with keeping the rarest religious book safe. It was hidden in my Library, where nothing comes in nor out without my foreknowledge and approval. Yet, the book is gone. It is no oridinary book. This book is a cursed book, as one page can never burn."

"What book is it?"

"The Gigas Codex. The commonfolk have another name for it: 'The Tirek Bible' and the painting of Tirek cannot burn, no matter how many times it was put to the flame." Marlene sighed, "Knowing my brother, he'll say that I am cursed for having such blasphemous codex near me."

"Why was you holding onto the book for?"

"It was going to be held at the Hoovarian Castle, on public, but well guarded display, before being shipped to its final destination." Marlene sighed again, "I am in desperate need as that book must depart in three days or else."

Wilhelm thought long and hard, before saying, "I'll help you, Princess. Show me where the crime took place."

Marlene smiled, "Thank you! Oh, Thank you!"

Then Marlene led Wilhelm to the Castle, where there was a podium with a glass box on it. There were officers everywhere, taking pictures and other stuff. Then he saw a familar aquamarie-blue unicorn with a gem for a flank.

"I thought I'll see you here, Lastrade." in a calm manner.

The mare quickly turned towards him, and huffed, "The Princess doesn't need you, Holmes. Also, It's 'Captain Hope D. LaStrade' and don't you forget it."

"The Princess herself came to get me, Lastrade."

"If a wannabe like you want to do an open and shut case, then suit yourself, but the book is probably got misplaced in the archives or someplace."

"If you are so certain, Lastrade, why not go retrieve it?"

Hope got real close to his face, and growled, "You may treat Law Enforcement as a Joke, Holmes, but I don't! Police is there to find and catch Real Criminals, like Murderers, not finding down lost books." then she faced the officers, "WE'RE DONE HERE!"

"Yes, Ma'am!" the Officers replied before they start leaving.

Within five minutes, every cop was gone. Wilhelm start looking at the room as well as the glass. Before long, a darker-blue-coated colt alicorn with green-white striped mane, walked into the Castle. He was wearing a white robe and a silver Horseshoe Rosary around his neck. He had a cross on his flank.

"Marlene!" the colt huffed, but trying to control his temper, "I warned you for months about that accursed item. Now look at you. You are freaking out, had the police and some stranger, trying to find that thing before things could get worst. I could easily try to have you be excommunicated from the Church, Sis, but I am resisting the urge."

"I'm so sorry, Dom." Marlene sighed, "You're right, but I still need to find it. As soon as this is all over, you can excommunicate me."

Dom sighed, "Mother never disowned us, and might view it as the same. So, I won't, but next time, at least think and ponder over my opinions next time."

"I will, Dom."

They hugged and Dom smiled.

"Before I head back, as the Deacon is waiting for me, who exactly is that?"

"This is Wilhelm Holmes. He helped with many cases before mine."

Dom sighed and nods, "May the Lord help you both.", then he left.

"It's unusual to see a religious figure to have a hard time controlling his anger." Willy sighed.

"Yeah. A bad habit from our Vater that he accidently picked up." then Marlene licked her lips, "Colt, my mouth is dry."

"I know a place we can go to. I saw everything I needed to here."

"What place?"

Wilhelm sighed, "One of many place I go to gather my thoughts and get some information: Clausen's Cider House in Remagen."

"Okay. Let's go."

They drove all the way to Remagen, Hoovaria. It's a quiant little town.  It is famous for it's fishing and farming. However one recent business is quite popular with the older populace, the Clausen Cider House, or many of the local regulars call it: Clausen Cider Hall, Cider Hall, Cider House, or Clausen's. It is owned, operated, and lead by one mare. She is an bluish-purple mare of the Earth variety with an earthy-brown mane. Her marking is that of her uniform: The Germane Barmaid uniform. Most of the regulars were lonely colts whom have no other place to go to in order to take care of their problems. There are other mares working at the bar as well, but the owner is more popular. Wilhelm and Marlene walked over to a corner booth and sat down. The owner walked over and no less then twenty colts turned their heads towards her, as her physique was athletically sound.

"Guten tag, Willy. The Usual?" the mare smiled.

"Ja, Freya. Also, something for my client."

"Two Cider Lagers; One reg and one spec." Freya smiled, "Coming up.", then she walked back.

One colt leaned too far out of his booth, looking at Freya, as she was walking, and he fell onto the floor. Freya simply giggled, as she know full well how the colts see her. Then one of the employees walked over to her.

"I'm jealous of how you can get those colts to, literally, fall out of their seats, just by walking pass them, Ma'am. How do you do it?"

"Staying quite fit, which thanks to my mother side, it is quite easy for me." Freya smiled, then thought, "Through having the Crimson Angel give me some pointers didn't hurt in the long run."

Then Freya filled up two tall, uniquely shaped, Apple-looking one-liter glasses, one of them being watered down with soda water. She carried them over to Wilhelm and Marlene. Marlene grabbed the darker colored one, which was the regular kind. As Freya was giving Wilhelm his Cider, she leaned in, and appeared to be kissing him, but was actually whispering stuff to him.

"I saw in the paper that a book went missing. I know a mare whom could help. You would have to travel to Vaduz to speak with her. She'll be glad to help, for a small trade in turn." Freya smiled as she backed up after telling him what she needed to.

"Danke." Wilhelm nodded before givng her some Markes.

Freya smiled and moved his hoof to put the money into her uniform. Then Freya smiled and walked away. Wilhelm sighed and shook his head.

"Of every-pony out there, there are two I can never figure out: My sister and her."

"I can tell." Marlene nodded.

After they had their drinks, Marlene, with Wilhelm's aid, got back to the car and they drove up to Vaduz, Liechtrotenstein. They soon got a motel room, with two seperate beds. While Marlene was passed out, drunk, Wilhelm was thinking of everything the clues could lead to.

"Normal book thieves would've leave a lot more evidence around, yet, there is barely any. Professional thieves are more careful of leaving their hoofmarks, but they would aim for valuable stuff. Albeit, having a book be the only one of it's kind and basically unburnable would constiute it as a very valuable item to steal. There were guards at each of the four doors and inside the room, yet not a single one saw anything nor heard anything. Even professionals make noise while doing their operations. I hope this mare Freya sent me to could help things out. I need more information."

The following day, Marlene was still passed out drunk while Wilhelm left to go talk to the mare he was sent to talk to. He soon found a small alleyway with hanging Zebrican masks. He walked down the alley until he got to a door. He knocked on it and it creaks open.

"Creepy." he thought.

Then a mare voice chuckled, "Come in, please. Come in and feel at ease."

Wilhelm walked inside and saw a lot of Zebrican stuff, but some Liechtrotensteiner stuff as well. There he saw a Zebra with a Tribal Cresent Moon on her flank. He walked over to the giant cast-iron cauldron in the center of the room.

"I was sent here by a friend: Freya Clausen."

The mare smiled, "That name does ring a bell. I know her quite well. She told me that you have quite a story to tell."

"Well, I'm on a case of a missing, proclaimed cursed book."

"Say no more about the book. I'll whip up a brew so we can look."

Then the mare was mixing stuff together and the fluid was changing colors.

"I never gotten your name."

"Tabitha Gutenburg is my name. Duchess and Zebrican Magic Queen of Vaduz, which isn't lame."

Then the fluid within the cauldron bubbled  and shot skyward before falling back into the cauldron. Wilhelm looked at her, a bit intriqued.

"What happened?"

"The potion is done. We now have an answer and-"

"And?"

"I see a book. It is with a mare, but the face is to blurry for a good look."

"What is the mare wearing, Tabitha?"

"She is wearing a crimson fredora. Currently, she isn't causing a mass hysteria."

"Crimson Fredora?"

"That is what I had said. With this information, now you can give aid." Tabitha held out her hoof, "As I had gave you my aid, I would like something in trade."

Wilhelm pulled out a few Markes and a unique looking pocketwatch.

"Will these do?"

"They will do quite nice. Now, it is time for my lunch with some rice." then Tabitha walked through a door, but never reamerge.

Wilhelm ran down the alley then down one of the main streets.

"There is one of a few places for her to be that have a lot of ponies."

When Wilhelm arrived at the center of the city, Marlene was at a coffeeshop, recovering from her drunken stupour. Then he noticed a grey-coated mare with a crimson colored trenchcoat and fredora. Her grape mane was covering most of her face.

"Stop! Book Thief!"

Marlene and the mare looked at him, then at each other. The mare ran and Wilhelm chased after her. Marlene finished her coffee and raced after the mare. Suddenly, she opened her wings and took to the sky. Wilhelm and Marlene wasn't too far behind her. They chased her all over the sky until they landed on top of tall building in Vaduz.

"Please give me back the book!"

"I know it is you, Orynko Mareiarty, Professor of Psycology and Criminal Science."

Then the mare, known as Orynko looked back at him, with a smile, "Very good, Mr. Holmes. But, I'm afraid the game is over."

"You are going to jail, Orynko."

"Ah, but Holmes, this is only the opening act of our little play." then a cloud of smoke appear, covering the area.

When the cloud disappeared, so was she. The only thing that was left was the Gigas Codex and a crimson-colored Queen piece of a Chess set. Wilhelm walked over and unscrew the head. Within the piece was a strip of paper. He unrolled it and it said, in crimson ink, "See you, Mr. Holmes, next Crime."

"Fifteen times I came so close, yet she always escape." Wilhelm thought and sighed, "Next time, you won't be so lucky, Mareiarty. I will catch you."

Meanwhile, in the real world, both youngsters were still sleeping and it was morning. Hilda peeked in, and smiled.

"Let them sleep, dear. Orynko is behaving while she is sleeping, but no idea about in her dreams. Also, look like Willy fell asleep with his book open again." Franz smiled as he looked in over her, "Also, it is the weekend."

Hilda walked in and moved Wilhelm's book, "Sherlock Hooves in the case of The Timberwolf of the Baskerville Moor" and placed it onto his nightstand, with the bookmark in the spot where he left off. Then she left the room.

"Must well enjoy the peace while we still can." Hilda smiled.

An hour later, Orynko woke up and stretched, "Morning, Willy."

Then she looked over at him, a bit surprised that he is still sleeping. She climbed out of her bed and shook him.

"OY! Wakey-Wakey!"

Wilhelm's eyes open up and upon seeing Orynko, leapt at her, "I GOT YOU, MAREIARTY!!", knocking her onto the ground.

"I AM NOT MAREIARTY, YOU IDIOT! LAST WEEK YOU TACKLED ME AND CALLED ME 'CAPTAIN HOOKETTE'! NO MORE BOOKS BEFORE BED FOR YOU!!!! IT IS UNHEALTHY FOR ME!!" Orynko yelled at the top of her voice, before a crash was heard from their room.

Both Hilda and Franz sighed, an in unison, "They are awake. Peace is over."
